Just under a month ago I was given a copy of Manic Drive’s latest album VIP. When I first thought to look them up, I went to youtube and did a little digging. I was not all that impressed. Their music wasn’t my style .
That attitude changed after a short time listening to the album. I decided to listen to the CD for at least two weeks and see what I thought not just of their style – but the heart in the music. It wasn’t a day later that I knew I would keep this cd in my collection for a while to come and make sure my kids were able to get a hold of it whenever they wanted.
So first I say – go check it out on itunes if you can http://itunes.apple.com/ca/artist/manic-drive/id106316738
I am not sure I can really classify the genre in which they fit. I think they have a fun mix of rock, pop, and techno. Manic Drive is a Canadian based band that has been around since
If you just want to get by in life and not be challenged to step up and make the world around you a better place; if you don’t want to hear what God calls you to as a believer; then don’t bother. But if you want to be encouraged to step up, to share the Gospel, I highly encourage you to check them out. Give them a try like I did. Don’t just toss them out without listening. Maybe much of their music won’t be to your liking or even a song or two on this album? I don’t know that – but I can say I thoroughly enjoy listening.
If you want – you can take a look at the VIP video on youtube below:
About the band & legal stuff
ABOUT THE BAND:
Manic Drive has been widely known as a Canadian band who always delivers a great show, but over the past few years and project releases, they have added to their extensive touring of Canadian and US markets multiple Billboard Top 10 & 20 singles on CHR & Christian Rock Radio. Manic Drive is clearly very intentional about reaching their generation and inspiring them to pursue a deeper walk with Christ and to get involved in changing the world they are inheriting. And they are uniquely equipped to do so. The band members, all in their early-mid twenties, have made sacrifices to pursue God’s call on their lives. Their life experience, spiritual maturity and ministry have opened doors to speak into the lives of their own generation and that is perhaps the most defining characteristic of this group of guys.

LEGAL STUFF:
You know the drill – I was given (for free) this cd to review (unbiased by the ‘freeness’). I listened to it and I happen to like it. Not because it was free – but because I liked it. If you don’t like – you probably won’t like other things I like either 🙂 Sorry about that – there is nothing I can do. This is my honest and unbiased opinion
And in case you enjoy reviewing ‘stuff’, be it music, movies, books, or other items. I love working with Fly by Promotions. You too can join the Blogger Network at Fly by Promotions.
