I have to say my daughter LOVES this book. I got it in the mail (as usual I was sent a review copy for free to write my opinion good or bad,) and my daughter devoured it in minutes. She read it to me twice in the first half hour. Being a big fan of Zig Ziglar I was excited to see how his niece would do with his legacy. She didn’t disappoint.
The story of Willow was a good lesson in self discipline. It is told through the eyes of Willow, a young girl ready to go to the circus and tempted by ice cream, lemonade, and more. Can she put off the immediate pleasure for the final excitement of the three ring? Read it you will find out 🙂
Anyway I was pleased to see a scripture written right on page one, and the ever popular quote from Zig himself, “Sometimes you’ve got to say ‘no’ to the good, so you can say ‘yes’ to the best.”
It is a great little book for your young ones. My daughter is in the second grade and the reading was slightly challenging for her so it was great on that front too. She was challenged to learn a little reading as well as life lessons.

The first book in the series: Can’t-Wait Willow!
Willow is so excited that the Over-the-Top Circus has finally come to town! The only problem is, that when left to her own devices, she can’t say “no” to some good things. On the way to the show, she is distracted by enticing treats and fun that she just can’t turn down. Willow arrives late and is sad to find that, not only has she has run out of time, but money, and she won’t be able to enjoy the pink cotton candy she’s been dreaming of. Willow is given valuable advice and a second chance and is ultimately taught the lesson that sometimes in life you have to say “no” to good things to end up with something great!
